    The forecast

    Nobody knows the future

A forecast isn't a promise: it's a DEFENSIBLE assumption. "50 sales a month because the local market absorbs 5,000" can be discussed. "50 because we need it" cannot be defended.

    The ramp-up

Nobody sells at full capacity in month one. A credible plan starts low and climbs: the first customers are won slowly. A curve that starts flat-out is the first red flag for a seasoned reader.

    Growth

Growth is stated in % per month — and compounds fast: +10% monthly doubles your sales in 8 months. Stay sober: better to beat a cautious plan than to justify a heroic one.

    Seasonality

A brewery sells in summer, an accountant bills in spring. If your business breathes with the seasons, your plan must breathe too — or your winter cash will be a nasty surprise.

    Going deeper

Spread by hand, month by month

When you already know WHEN the sales land (a signed contract, two rollout waves), the "custom spread" mode lets you set the quantities month by month.

    Cautious, realistic, ambitious

Duplicate your plan into scenarios: the cautious one tests your survival, the ambitious one sizes your hiring. A banker reads the cautious one; you steer on the realistic one.
