Invoice and get paid

    The sales cycle

A quote proposes, an invoice claims, a payment concludes. All three live on the same screen: the accepted quote becomes the invoice, no retyping. Every step leaves a trace — and that trace feeds the books.

    The QR-bill

The Swiss payment slip with a QR square: your client scans it in their e-banking, everything is prefilled, zero typos. BeMyTalent generates it automatically — all you need is an IBAN. It's been the standard since 2022.

    VAT: collected, not earned

On a 108 CHF invoice at 8.1%, 8.10 isn't yours: you collect it for the state. The app separates the two from the start — on filing day, the number is ready. Not yet? The invoice is simply written without .

    Actually getting paid

An issued invoice isn't money yet. Set a term (30 days is customary), watch the due date, follow up without embarrassment: in Switzerland the reminder is a ritual, not an offence. The screen shows who owes what, since when.

How to do it in BeMyTalent

The same chapter, hands-on — step by step in the app:

    1. 1

      Create your first invoice

Click "New invoice" (highlighted). Create the client on the fly, add a line, a price — the editor computes and total. Save: a draft is enough for this chapter.Create your first invoice
    2. 2

      Issue it — or not

A draft can be corrected at will. Once issued, the invoice gets its number and is booked; send it by e-mail or as a PDF. No real client today? Stay in draft, delete it afterwards.

    Quotes and orders

The same editor makes all three: quote, order, invoice. An accepted quote converts in one click — the link stays visible, and nothing reaches the books before the invoice.

    Reminders

Once the due date has passed, the app offers the reminders — text ready, history kept. The usual ritual: friendly reminder, firm second one, formal notice. Most invoices settle after the first.
